This crepe recipe is simple, so simple in fact that you can make this a family tradition everyone will love! Everyone will enjoy these delicious delights!
From the time I can remember we had crepes every Saturday morning. It was something we could always count on. As soon as I would wake up my dad would pour the crepe batter in the pan so it was always fresh. I looked forward to these every Saturday morning. It was a familiar routine.
As I have grown up I have tried to keep up the tradition. My kids love them almost as much as I do! Here’s an easy crepe recipe your whole family will love.
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1 tbs sugar
1 tsp vegetable oil
a pinch of salt
a dash of vanilla
First of all you will want to start heating the pan on a medium heat. It is best if you have a crepe pan because they are designed to make crepes.
After you have started heating the pan you will mix all the ingredients together in a bowl until there are just a few clumps. You will want to use a fork to mix the batter.
Place a small amount of butter on the pan and tilt the pan to spread the butter. Pour the batter onto the heated pan and spread it out by tilting the pan around. The batter should be nice and thin so you can let it cook for a couple of minutes until the pan starts to steam lightly.
The easiest way to flip a crepe is by taking a small batter spatula and slowly picking up the edge of the crepe. Once you have the edge lifted a little you can slide a regular spatula under the crepe and then flip it.
Once it is flipped let it cook for a couple of minutes. When the edges look slightly golden brown it is time to eat.
Put the crepe onto a plate and sprinkle sugar on it. After that you can put any kind of berries on it and even whipped cream if you like. Sometimes I like to eat them with sugar only because they are just that good. Cut up this delicious delight and enjoy the beautiful breakfast creation you made!
